"The Old Rugged Cross"- we have nothing if we have not the cross of Jesus Christ. We do not worship the Cross but rather the Christ of the cross who gave His live a ransom for each of us.
If that does not stir the soul to the deepest level of commitment then to sing this old familiar hymn has become empty words with a pleasant melody. Let us not sink to such shallowness!
